![]() This performance is available on the band's "Hell Freezes Over" DTS DVD. The disc offers the Eagles performance of "Hotel California", which sounds fantastic - every note comes through with remarkable clarity and the music as a whole sounds wonderfully warm and rich. The rest of the movie material is a late scene in "Saving Private Ryan", the early riding-into-gunfire scene in "Dances With Wolves" and a scene from "Antz". The rest of the material is from what people have seen before, but again, it's nice to have a clip from each included here. In all seriousness though, caution should probably be used in playing both this clip and the DTS film edition when it comes out. This clip provides seriously powerful bass, and it sounds outstanding - giving people a little taste of what the whole film will sound like. In terms of sound quality, a certain quote from "Wayne's World" comes to mind - "we're not worthy!". The clip is from a scene towards the end of the film (the one where the spirit gets into her room, then she runs down the hallway.). ![]() That "first-anywhere" clip is from "The Haunting"(the full film will be out in DTS on August 29th). Although there have been previous "demo" editions from DTS, this is the first one I've taken a look at, and it includes some really cool clips - including a first-anywhere clip in DTS. Although there are many wonderful DTS discs for people to choose from, it's always nice to be able to show someone who is interested in the subject a number of clips to give them an idea about.well, what it's all about. ![]()
